James Aiken is a British filmmaker whose evocative cinematic style rose from his passion for wild landscapes, single handed sailing and surfing in remote regions. His work is visceral and experiential, blending anthropological narratives with a powerful sense of ambience. His ability to capture and portray subjects intimately, yet conjure a sense of expanse has allowed him to create a poignant body of work. He is recognised both for creating unique imagery and intriguing narratives.
James directs film commissions for editorial and commercial clients both in the UK and internationally.
